This section contains the original parameter listing for the AD-EOS critical constants (ΩA, ΩB, ΩC, and τ1) for 100 compounds common in process simulations. These served as the foundation for developing generalized (Ωi = f(ZC)) expressions of the AD-EOS parameters.
Using revised critical constants, updated parameter sets have been developed that now cover more than 1,100 chemical compounds. This new compilation is more complete, up to date, and suitable for process simulation applications.
This applies the thermodynamically consistent Twu (1988) α-function to the AD-EOS. The updated coverage includes more than 1,100 compounds.
Generalized correlations for the Soave- and Twu-type alpha functions have been developed, enabling phase equilibrium calculations through a fully predictive approach.
However, since these are purely polynomial correlations with respect to the acentric factor, their accuracy may be limited. It is therefore still recommended to use the original datasets whenever possible.
The earlier parameter datasets for the Almajose–Dalida EOS were developed using outdated critical constants and were limited to 100 compounds. These datasets, applying various alpha functions, have been published in Fluid Phase Equilibria and are provided here for reference.
This contains the parameter listing for the generalized (Ωi = f(ZC)) AD-EOS applying the Heyen alpha function for 100 compounds common in process simulations.
