PID Simulation C
PID Simulation C
Simulation C expands the system into a coupled temperature–level process. Temperature is controlled through the heater, while a second PID controller manipulates the outlet flow to regulate the amount of liquid in the tank. The inlet flow remains independently adjustable, allowing material and energy dynamics to interact within the same process.
This model introduces students to multivariable process behavior without immediately resorting to a fully complex plant. Changes in liquid inventory affect the thermal response, while actuator and sensor dynamics, dead time, flow limitations, and low-level protection make the system behave more like an actual process-control problem.
